The Course
Treetops Resort’s championship layouts hosted the trip. The individual stroke-play championship ran across two of its five courses: the Jones Masterpiece — Robert Trent Jones, Sr.’s final Michigan design and the toughest test on property, stretching over 7,000 yards through rolling hardwoods and pines — and the Fazio Premier, the only Tom Fazio design in the state and a far more forgiving, wide-open counterpart.

Jordan Higgins
Max Kadish led early after Day 1’s Masterpiece round, but Higgins stayed within a shot. A steady Day 3 close — even carding a net +4 — was enough to hold on for a two-shot win, his second Santy Cup title after also winning the inaugural 2020 event.

2025 Recap
Year one of Series III delivered exactly the kind of drama a new rivalry needs. Team Carroll came out swinging Thursday with a 4–1 session win, and Team Cole answered right back Friday with a 4–1 win of their own to tie things at 5–5. Nick Stock made the trip’s first-ever hole-in-one along the way, an ace on the 8th that’ll live in Santy Cup lore regardless of who ends up holding the Cup.
Saturday morning’s Scotch Old Pal session tipped the balance, Cole surged to a 9–6 lead heading into singles, and while Carroll clawed hard all afternoon, it wasn’t quite enough. Cole held on, 13–12, to open Series III with the win. Not a single match all trip ended halved, a first in Santy Cup history, and a fitting way to kick off a new era.
On the individual side, Jordan Higgins added a second Bendelow Green Jacket to his collection, matching his inaugural 2020 title. Max Kadish set the pace early, but Higgins’ steady play down the stretch — including holding on with a net +4 final round — was enough to close it out by two shots.
